Georgetown Mustangs

Another season has ended for the boys after 22 months of playing. Our 2010 season followed by the indoor league, and then the 2011 outdoor season has been a long haul. A break for the players, coaches and managers is well deserved.
Congratulations to the boys for a great season.

The boys played well winning 2 of their 3 group games, but luck of the draw moved 2 teams on to the semis with a single point advantage over our Mustangs. Overall the weekend was a success with good weather and valuable team time at this early stage in the season. Lets keep up the momentum into our league games boys !!

Finally, the weather is cooperating and outdoor practices have started at Kiwanis field. A few more indoor practices and some exhibition games in Guelph to go before we are outdoors full time. Check out the new jackets in the photo section on the site, and feel free to upload your team photos throughout the season.

After many discussions and meetings, the coaches and management have decided that the BU13 Mustang ‘B’ team will play in the SRSL Rep league this season. Our previous season rivals Milton, Croatia and Burlington have also joined us in the 3rd division, which will make for some strong entertaining matches. A more detailed email will be sent to the parents outlining the season, as well as a parent meeting early spring.
